In 1988 she was signed with the coveted Elite Model management in Milan, kicking off her professional modelling career. Within one year Bellucci fixed her reign over the fashion industry, making her mark from Paris to New York City. She modelled for big names like Dolce and Gabbana and the French Elle magazine.

Taking her act to the next level, Monica Bellucci transitioned from modelling to acting. In 1989 she started to take acting classes and doing small roles.
